Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the MyKeep platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The Service

MyKeep provides a personal data storage platform ("Vault"), an AI assistant, and a controlled sharing mechanism ("Envoys"). The service is provided "as is" and may change as we improve it.

3. Your Account

You must provide a valid email address to register.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
One person, one account. Automated or bot accounts are not permitted.

4. Your Data

You own your data. MyKeep does not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over the files, documents, or content you store in your Vault.

You grant MyKeep a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely to provide the service.
You can export or delete your data at any time.
When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Upload or share illegal content
Attempt to access other users' data
Reverse-engineer, exploit, or attack the platform
Use the service to distribute malware or spam
Resell or sublicense access to the service

6. AI Assistant

The AI assistant processes your Vault content to generate responses, knowledge pages, and suggested edits. AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all changes before they are applied to your files.

7. Envoys (Sharing)

When you create an Envoy, you are choosing to share specific content with others. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content included in an Envoy. MyKeep is not liable for how recipients use the shared content.

8. Availability & Liability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. MyKeep is not liable for data loss caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to hardware failures, natural disasters, or third-party service outages. We strongly recommend maintaining local copies of your data via the Desktop Sync feature.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice when possible. Upon termination, you may request a full data export within 30 days.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect.
