Overview

MyKeep is designed around a simple principle: your data belongs to you. We collect only what is necessary to operate the service, and we never sell, share, or use your data to train AI models.

What We Collect

Account information — your email address and a hashed password, used solely for authentication.
Your files — documents, notes, and media you upload to your Vault. These are stored encrypted at rest and are never accessed by MyKeep staff unless required by law.
Usage metadata — basic analytics such as login timestamps, feature usage counts, and error logs. This data is anonymized and used only to improve the service.

What We Don't Do

We never sell your personal data or file contents to third parties.
We never train AI models on your data. Your AI assistant runs in an isolated context scoped to your Vault.
We never serve ads or use tracking pixels.
We never share your data with partners for marketing purposes.

Encryption & Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Your Vault files are stored in isolated per-user storage containers. Access controls are enforced at every layer of the stack.

Data Sharing (Envoys)

When you create an Envoy, you voluntarily share a curated subset of your data via a unique link. You control what is shared, for how long, and can revoke access at any time. Recipients cannot access any data beyond what you explicitly include in the Envoy.

Data Portability & Deletion

You can export all your data at any time in standard formats (Markdown, JSON, original media files). You can delete your account and all associated data permanently through the app settings. Deletion is irreversible and takes effect within 30 days.

Third-Party Services

MyKeep uses the following third-party services:

Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure hosting and storage
OpenAI / Anthropic — AI model providers for your assistant (your file contents are sent to the model only when you explicitly interact with the assistant; they are not stored by the provider)
